in the past we have done "special" music performances & coupled it with timed images & scriptures on the projector screen. The scriptures are related to the concept of the song but they really help drive home the truth of His word. In example, we used the song "redeemer" by Nicole C. Mullen ... I had many people coming up to me telling me the chills it gave them ... quite the impact!! This year we may do "via dolarosa" by Sandy Patti but I may just play the CD instead of having it performed. Hope this helps give someone ideas!! blessings!

We have had the same approach--with our children's program, we choose video clips more directly related to the secular themes of the season. We then use other media to make connections for the kids. We hope that this helps them to translate for their friends who may not be churched.

One must be careful to consider the audience--ours was an adult-oriented program, so we felt comfortable using more mature themes (not to the gory extent of "The Passion", but along those lines).
