church may not be about clothing, but when I go to church and see people dressed down, i.e. "casually", it sends a message to me that people don't care about God or themselves - they don't care enough to look good for their King on the weekend, they only care enough about looking good for their king ($$$) during the week, and they don't care enough about themselves to give themselves the respect they deserve by dressing well when going out in public. I don't think people look welcoming and nonthreatening when I see them walking around the store in sweats and beat up jeans, I think they look like bums who ought to go get lives and start caring. Same thing with church.

I think the overall point of the film is to point out that as "Christians" sometimes people get carried away with filling the role, rather than truly following the example of Jesus. Many unbelievers view "Christians" as people who are stuck in their ways, hypocritical, and judgmental. The "Christ-follower" is the one who loves and shares his faith rather than judges others for not displaying theirs in the typical fashion. He doesn't necessarily come dressed to impressed, but rather focuses on the worship to be done.

I liked the video and thought it was well done. It addresses a dilemma I've been concerned about--do we give our best (dress our best) for Christ, or do we go to church dressed in more casual clothing? I've come to the same conclusion this message has, perhaps for different reasons. I believe if everyone is dressed exquisitely, it sends a message to anyone who visits. I think it can make visitors feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in church if they cannot afford to dress in the finest clothing. Church isn't about clothing. That is one of the main reasons that I, as a woman, will never wear a hat to church and I dress casually to hopefully present a welcoming, non-threatening appearance.
